In 2007 the classes of the first College Electronic Music Production at the Anhembi Morumbi University in São Paulo are going to be opened.
Given the name as “Electronic Music Production - Professional DJ” the course lasts for 2 years long with a Diploma recognized by the Ministry of Education.
With theory classes and also practical classes enfacing the sequencers softwares such as LOGIC and CUBASE aside from MASTERING, EFFECTS, MUSIC THEORY and STUDIO SET UP.
The student will have also mixing classes using vinyl’s and CDs going through different styles like HOUSE, LOUNGE, HIP HOP and DRUMn’BASS, not to mention the classes of ethics, laws and concepts of the sound industry.
It's a nice opportunity to professionalizing the artists even for people interested in music generally and in the interaction with the electronic with other instruments.
In 2005 the ANHEMBI MORUMBI became a part of the LAUREARTE NETWORK. An American group that owns 51% of the stock options and its present in 15 countries, with over 20 universities. This partnership contributed for the consolidation of the course.
